Something went wrong Something went wrong

I often feel that humans consider nature as something we don't belong to. As something that is not part of our everyday lives. Untouched nature seems too distant to us… Yes, man has pushed the unchained wilderness beyond the borders of his world. However, the truth is that nature is everywhere. In fields, in gardens, in cities and houses, and even in us. The world of people is inseparably linked with nature and each of us is undoubtedly dependent on it. And animals? Are they really all around us? Some are. Sometimes, if you just look carefully under your feet while walking in a meadow, you might discover a whole world of small creatures - spiders, grasshoppers, bees, beetles and butterflies… If you listen carefully, you will find that there are birds all around. And if you wait and watch, you will find that the whole world around you is full of diverse animals.

When I started photographing wildlife, I also thought I would have to be very lucky to find something. But over time, I realized that it is not so much about luck as about patience. Photography requires patience above all. However, the more time we spend on each photo, the more precious it becomes to us. And that's why I what to share them with you.

My name is Filip Bajaček, I am currently 18 years old and I am from Slovakia. I do photography only as a hobby. Nature has always been a place where I felt comfortable. And I see meaning in photographing it mainly because it brings me closer to it. It is always exciting when I take a photo of something new. It started sometime when I was thirteen years old and in almost six years of photography, I've seen, discovered and photographed at least a part of Slovakia's nature. I've created images that bring me joy. I think that is what it is all about. To have pleasure from nature, its beauty, its meaning, its mysteries and its excellence. And finally, in its "immortality" in photographs and memories.
